From 11 to 15 January 2026, a delegation of faculty and students from SEU’s School of Transportation traveled to Washington, D.C., to attend the 105th Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting. Recognized as the world’s largest, most prestigious gathering in transportation research, the TRB meeting has become the premier stage for scholars to unveil the latest scientific advances and technological breakthroughs. This year’s conference drew more than 10,000 academics and industry professionals from across the globe.
At this year’s meeting, 166 papers by our faculty and students were accepted, and the college organized a delegation of more than 100 members to travel to the United States. Through oral presentations and poster sessions, they actively showcased the school’s research strength and achievements, fully demonstrating on the international stage our vibrant scholarly energy and the enterprising spirit of our staff and students.
The TRB Annual Meeting—today’s largest and most influential forum in transportation research—has become our college’s premier window for international scholarly exchange and a key platform for elevating global visibility, advancing internationalized education, and strengthening worldwide partnerships. Building on such high-level venues, we will deepen collaboration in talent development, scientific innovation, and technology transfer, steadily expanding our international impact and contributing still greater SEU Transportation wisdom and solutions to China’s transport-powerhouse strategy and to global progress in mobility science and technology.
